There's also a fence next to him. He's standing towards the left side of the picture. It looks like she kind of cut out his feet at the bottom. It looks like she wanted him in focus but not the background. This looks like it was taken in the morning because of the light by the table. I think she made it black and white to show an urban look to the picture. I think she could of done better.
